Grindr Appoints Finance Executive to Board

Grindr Inc. (NYSE: GRND) has appointed Chad Cohen, a seasoned public company finance executive, to its Board of Directors as of June 3, 2025. Cohen, who has previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Zillow Group Inc. (Nasdaq: Z) and Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. (Nasdaq: ADPT), as well as the Founding Partner of Scala Advisors, LLC, brings extensive experience to the role.

Cohen's appointment comes as a change in the board, with Director Gary Horowitz stepping down. Cohen will also serve as the Chair of Grindr's Audit Committee. Grindr CEO George Arison expressed his enthusiasm for Cohen's appointment, citing his expertise in growing successful public companies as an invaluable asset to the board.

Grindr, known as the "Global Gayborhood in Your Pocket," has seen significant growth, with more than 14.5 million average monthly active users. The company's mission to create a world where the lives of the global LGBTQ+ community are free, equal, and just has been supported by initiatives such as Grindr for Equality, which has advanced human rights, health, and safety for millions of LGBTQ+ people.

Cohen's extensive background in helping companies through periods of hypergrowth and his experience in leading companies through IPOs positions him well to support Grindr's mission and growth trajectory. With Cohen's appointment, Grindr aims to leverage his expertise in finance, business operations, and investor relations to continue expanding its capabilities as a leading social platform and market leader in dating apps for the gay community. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -5.18% to a price of $23.45. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
