COSTCO REPORTS 8.0% INCREASE IN NET SALES

Costco Wholesale Corporation has reported its operating results for the 16-week fourth quarter and the 52-week fiscal year ended August 31, 2025. The company's net sales for the quarter increased by 8.0 percent to $84.4 billion, compared to $78.2 billion the previous year. For the fiscal year, net sales increased by 8.1 percent to $269.9 billion, up from $249.6 billion.

Comparable sales for the fourth quarter and fiscal year were as follows: U.S.: 5.1% and 6.2% for the quarter and fiscal year, respectively Canada: 6.3% and 5.0% Other international markets: Ranged from 4.8% to 8.6% for the quarter and from 7.2% to 8.6% for the fiscal year Total company: 5.7% and 5.9% * E-commerce: 13.6% and 15.6%

Net income for the fourth quarter was reported at $2.610 billion, or $5.87 per diluted share, compared to $2.354 billion, or $5.29 per diluted share, the previous year. For the fiscal year, net income was $8.099 billion, or $18.21 per diluted share, compared to $7.367 billion, or $16.56 per diluted share, the previous year.

As of the reporting date, Costco operates 914 warehouses, including 629 in the United States and Puerto Rico, with the remainder spread across other international locations. Additionally, Costco operates e-commerce sites in several countries.

The company has scheduled a conference call to discuss these results for September 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (PT).
