International Paper Appoints Tom Hamic as EVP of North American Packaging Solutions

International Paper (NYSE: IP) has announced the appointment of Tom Hamic as the new Executive Vice President and President of North American Packaging Solutions. In his new role, Hamic will oversee the company's Container and Containerboard businesses in North America, reporting directly to CEO Andy K. Silvernail.

Hamic brings substantial experience to the position, having joined International Paper in 1991 and holding various key positions in sales, marketing, finance, strategic planning, and leadership in both the United States and Europe. Notably, he was named a company officer in 2009 and elected senior vice president in 2019. Most recently, Hamic served as the senior vice president and general manager, North American Container, and Chief Commercial Officer.
