Shake Shack Reports Strong Q2 Financial Results

Shake Shack Inc. has reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2025. The company's total revenue reached $356.5 million, marking a 12.6% increase from the same period in 2024. This includes $343.2 million from Shack sales and $13.3 million from licensing revenue. System-wide sales also saw an increase, reaching $549.9 million, up 13.7% from 2024.

In terms of same-Shack sales, there was a 1.8% increase compared to 2024. The operating income for the quarter was $22.4 million, significantly higher than the $10.8 million reported in 2024. Restaurant-level profit stood at $82.2 million, accounting for 23.9% of Shack sales.

Net income for the quarter was $18.5 million, up from $10.4 million in 2024. Adjusted EBITDA also saw a significant increase, reaching $58.9 million, which is 24.8% higher than in 2024. The net income attributable to Shake Shack Inc. was $17.1 million, resulting in earnings of $0.41 per diluted share. Adjusted pro forma net income was $19.5 million, translating to earnings of $0.44 per fully exchanged and diluted share.

During the quarter, the company opened 13 new Company-operated Shacks, including two drive-thrus, and nine new licensed Shacks.

Looking at the company's financial position, as of June 25, 2025, Shake Shack Inc. reported total assets of $1.775 billion, compared to $1.697 billion as of December 25, 2024. The company's cash and cash equivalents also increased to $336.8 million from $320.7 million.
