Bloomin' Brands announces senior leadership changes

Bloomin' Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ: BLMN) has announced a series of senior leadership changes aimed at bolstering the company's capability to support its ongoing business turnaround, with a focus on the Outback Steakhouse brand.

Eric Christel has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer-elect, bringing nearly two decades of financial leadership across the food and beverage sector. Upon Christel's assumption of the CFO role around September 8, 2025, Michael Healy will transition to the newly-created position of Executive Vice President, Strategy & Transformation. Healy will lead strategic initiatives central to Bloomin' Brands’ turnaround efforts, prioritizing Outback.

Jessica Mitory will join the company as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, bringing over 15 years of HR leadership experience. Ali Charri has been appointed Senior Vice President, Guest Insights and Analytics, to lead strategic and marketing brand positioning, guest insights and analytics, and digital capabilities.

Rafael Sanchez has already joined the company as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, bringing over 25 years of IT leadership experience. Additionally, Randy Scruggs has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Supply Chain, and Tara Kurian to Senior Vice President, IR, FP&A, and International.

John Bettin is set to join the company as Senior Vice President, President of Bonefish Grill, bringing over 30 years of leadership experience in the restaurant industry. Mark Graff, the current EVP and President of Bonefish Grill and Fine Dining, will depart the company on November 1, 2025.

The press release also confirmed that the remainder of the brand leadership remains unchanged, with Patrick Hafner, Kelia Bazile, and Sheilina Henry continuing to lead Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, respectively. Kelly Lefferts and Lissette Gonzalez will also retain their positions as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary, and Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, respectively.

The leadership changes are part of the company's efforts to simplify its business and consistently deliver a great guest experience, while focusing on the longer-term goals of turning around Outback and driving sustainable sales and profit growth.

The company will release its results for the fiscal second quarter ended June 29, 2025, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, with a conference call to review its financial results at 8:00 am EST the same day.
