Citizens Financial Group Appoints Aunoy Banerjee as CFO

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. has announced the appointment of Aunoy Banerjee as its new Chief Financial Officer. Banerjee, who currently serves as the CFO of Barclays Bank PLC, will join Citizens on October 24. He brings with him 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, having held various leadership roles at State Street and Citi before joining Barclays.

Banerjee's responsibilities will include overseeing financial planning and analysis, business line finance groups, controller, investor relations, treasury, tax, and capital management functions, as well as property and procurement. His experience includes managing a £1.1 trillion balance sheet at Barclays Bank PLC and overseeing a $100 billion-plus investment portfolio and balance sheet funding position at State Street.
