Cox Communications Financials Show Decrease

Cox Communications, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Inc., has released its unaudited condensed consolidated financial statements for the period ending June 30, 2025. The company's total assets as of June 30, 2025, amounted to $36.015 billion, a slight decrease from $36.281 billion as of December 31, 2024.

In terms of revenues, Cox Communications saw a decrease from $3.266 billion in the second quarter of 2024 to $3.140 billion in the same period of 2025. Similarly, the company's revenues for the six months ended June 30, 2025, were $6.323 billion, down from $6.573 billion for the same period in 2024.

The operating expenses for the company also decreased from $2.526 billion in the second quarter of 2024 to $2.502 billion in the same period of 2025. For the six months ended June 30, 2025, operating expenses were $4.953 billion, a decrease from $5.113 billion for the same period in 2024.

Net income for Cox Communications was $415 million for the second quarter of 2025, down from $515 million in the same period of 2024. The net income for the six months ended June 30, 2025, was $876 million, a decrease from $1.010 billion for the same period in 2024.

In terms of the company's balance sheet, the total equity as of June 30, 2025, increased to $15.362 billion from $14.486 billion as of December 31, 2024.

Cox Communications also reported a decrease in cash and cash equivalents, which amounted to $83 million as of June 30, 2025, down from $97 million as of December 31, 2024.

The company's long-term debt as of June 30, 2025, was $12.484 billion, slightly up from $12.323 billion as of December 31, 2024.

Cox Communications announced a pending disposition in May 2025, involving a transaction agreement with Charter Communications, Inc. and Charter Communications Holdings, LLC. Moreover, the company detailed restructuring initiatives implemented in 2024, including severance costs.
