Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) has recently announced the signing of memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with Ondas Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: ONDS) and Unusual Machines Inc. (NYSE: UMAC), two key players in the U.S. drone industry. These agreements follow strategic investments made by Ondas and Unusual Machines into Safe Pro Group on August 21, 2025.
The MOUs aim to facilitate collaboration on the development and integration of Safe Pro's patented AI-powered drone imagery analysis and computer vision technologies into the hardware and software offerings of Ondas and Unusual Machines. Notably, Safe Pro's Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) technology, designed to rapidly detect over 150 different kinds of small, hard-to-spot threats, including landmines, anti-personnel mines, cluster munitions, and unexploded ordnance, will be a focal point of this collaboration.
The collaboration with Ondas is expected to support the enhancement of their autonomous commercial, defense, and security drone platforms for aerial intelligence with advanced AI-powered small object and threat detection capabilities. This is targeted towards organizations responsible for the protection of sensitive locations, populations, and critical infrastructure, with a specific focus on the U.S. Department of Defense, existing army engagements, NATO partners, and deepening Safe Pro's footprint in Ukraine.
On the other hand, the collaboration with Unusual Machines aims to enhance their First-Person View (FPV) drone offerings through the seamless integration of Safe Pro's real-time SPOTD threat detection data with its Aura cameras and HDO+ goggles solutions, thereby improving the visual imagery provided to enterprise and government end-users.
Safe Pro's technology, powered by SPOTD, can be deployed in real-time on the edge or leverage cloud services, offering solutions for rapid battlefield analysis as well as supporting large-scale commercial and humanitarian demining operations. Safe Pro has a unique real-world dataset comprising over 1.78 million drone images analyzed to date, with 31,600+ threats identified across 7,819 hectares (19,321 acres) in Ukraine.
Dan Erdberg, Chairman and CEO of Safe Pro Group, expressed the significance of joining forces with Ondas and Unusual Machines, stating that they see tremendous opportunities to accelerate the deployment of next-generation, AI-powered drone solutions, empowering customers to accomplish critical missions while safeguarding civilian lives.
Eric Brock, Chairman and CEO of Ondas Holdings, acknowledged Safe Pro's technology and its potential to meet the needs of demanding customers in the military and commercial markets, emphasizing its contribution to Ondas' growing ecosystem of unique drone-based solutions.
Dr. Allan Evans, Chairman and CEO of Unusual Machines, highlighted the goal of establishing the American drone ecosystem as a global powerhouse, emphasizing the collaborative efforts to integrate cameras with Safe Pro's AI-powered drone imagery analysis technology to address challenges such as removing landmines in Ukraine and protecting soldiers from explosive threats on the battlefield.
