MongoDB Revenue Jumps 24% in Q2 FY2026

MongoDB, Inc. has reported its financial results for the second quarter ended July 31, 2025. Total revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2026 was $591.4 million, representing a 24% increase year-over-year. Subscription revenue was $572.4 million, up 23% year-over-year, and services revenue was $19.0 million, up 33% year-over-year.

The company's gross profit was $420.0 million, with a gross margin of 71%, compared to 73% in the year-ago period. Non-GAAP gross profit was $436.4 million, with a non-GAAP gross margin of 74%, down from 75% in the year-ago period.

Non-GAAP net income was $87.2 million, or $1.00 per share, based on 87.1 million fully diluted weighted-average shares outstanding, a significant improvement from a non-GAAP net loss of $59.0 million, or $0.70 per share, in the year-ago period.

As of July 31, 2025, MongoDB had $2.3 billion in cash, cash equivalents, short-term investments, and restricted cash. During the three months ended July 31, 2025, the company generated $72.1 million of cash from operations, compared to a use of $1.4 million of cash from operations in the year-ago period. MongoDB used $0.5 million of cash in capital expenditures and used $1.7 million of cash in principal payments of finance leases, leading to free cash flow of $69.9 million, a significant improvement from negative free cash flow of $4.0 million in the year-ago period.

The company added 2,800 customers in the second quarter, bringing the total customer count to over 59,900 as of July 31, 2025. MongoDB Atlas revenue also saw substantial growth, up 29% year-over-year, and representing 74% of total Q2 revenue.

Looking ahead, MongoDB is forecasting third quarter fiscal 2026 revenue in the range of $587.0 million to $592.0 million and full-year fiscal 2026 revenue in the range of $2.34 billion to $2.36 billion. Non-GAAP income from operations for the third quarter is expected to be in the range of $66.0 million to $70.0 million, and for the full year, in the range of $321.0 million to $331.0 million. Non-GAAP net income per share for the third quarter is projected to be between $0.76 to $0.79, and for the full year, between $3.64 to $3.73.
