Mosaic Company Reports Q3 Volume Changes

The Mosaic Company (NYSE: MOS) has announced its preliminary third-quarter 2025 segment volumes, revealing some notable changes from the previous period.

In the Phosphates segment, the company faced delays in asset health restoration activities, leading to a decline in production volumes for the third quarter. Phosphate production volumes stood at approximately 1.7 million tonnes, representing a meaningful increase from previous quarters but falling below management's expectations. Sales volumes for phosphates were approximately 1.6 million tonnes, primarily due to the lag of shipments already confirmed and priced.

However, Mosaic Fertilizantes experienced a significant uptick in sales volumes, reaching approximately 2.8 million tonnes in the third quarter. This marked a 25% increase from the second quarter, demonstrating the company's efforts to optimize profitability in a tight credit environment.

As for Potash, production and sales volumes for the third quarter were both approximately 2.3 million tonnes, indicating stability in this segment.

The company plans to release its third-quarter 2025 earnings results on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, and will host a conference call on Wednesday, November 5th to discuss the results.

Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -3.88%, and are now trading at a price of $33.44. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
