News Corp Repurchases $1 Billion Shares

News Corporation has announced a repurchase program for its Nasdaq-listed Class A common stock and Class B common stock. The company initially authorized a $1 billion repurchase program in September 2021, and as of July 15, 2025, an additional $1 billion has been authorized.

As of the latest notification, the total number of securities on issue in the class of securities to be bought back is 373,073,555. The company may purchase up to an aggregate of $1 billion of Class A common stock and Class B common stock under the 2021 Repurchase Program and an aggregate of $1 billion under the 2025 Repurchase Program.

The entity intends to buy back a maximum number of securities and has engaged Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC as the broker to offer to buy back securities on the entity’s behalf.

The total number of securities bought back or in relation to which acceptances have been received is 26,541,273. The total consideration paid or payable for the securities is $579,106,832. The highest price paid was $30.93 and the lowest price paid was $14.88.

The company is authorized to acquire up to an aggregate of $1 billion of the Company’s Nasdaq-listed Class A common stock and Class B common stock under the 2021 Repurchase Program and an aggregate of $1 billion under the 2025 Repurchase Program. To date, the company has purchased approximately $876,021,342 worth of Class A and Class B shares under the 2021 Repurchase Program.

The anticipated date for the buy-back to occur is September 22, 2021. The date of the latest notification is November 14, 2025, with the previous day on which securities were bought back being November 13, 2025.
