Infinity Natural Resources, Inc. acquires Chase Oil Corporation's assets in Pennsylvania

Infinity Natural Resources, Inc. has made a significant acquisition, acquiring Chase Oil Corporation's working interest in its South Bend field in Pennsylvania for approximately $36 million in an all-stock transaction. This move represents the company's first use of stock currency to execute its post-IPO growth strategy. The acquisition includes 18 producing wells generating around 14 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of net natural gas production for the month of December 2025.

The transaction also brings with it near-term development opportunities, with three additional wells in progress expected to be turned into sales in the first half of 2026. Furthermore, the deal includes strategic acreage, adding 1,613 net Marcellus acres and 1,613 net Utica acres to Infinity's portfolio, consolidating Chase's working interest across its core dry gas development area in Pennsylvania.

Infinity's President and CEO, Zack Arnold, expressed that this strategic acquisition allows the company to consolidate its core dry gas Pennsylvania position and execute its post-IPO strategy of strategic consolidation within the Appalachian Basin. He also highlighted that the transaction adds high Net Revenue Interest (NRI) leases, providing immediate production and EBITDA in 2026 while being accretive in 2026 and 2027.

The company's operations are focused on the Utica Shale in eastern Ohio as well as its stacked dry gas assets in both the Marcellus and Utica Shales in southwestern Pennsylvania. This acquisition represents a significant step in Infinity's growth-oriented, free cash flow generating, and independent energy company strategy. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -1.88% to a price of $13.56. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
