Cboe Global Markets, a leading derivatives and securities exchange network, has announced new executive leadership appointments. Scott Johnston has been appointed as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, while Heidi Fischer has been appointed as the Executive Vice President and Global Head of Equities and Spot Markets. Chris Isaacson, the current Chief Operating Officer, will be retiring from his role effective March 6, 2026, but will continue to serve as an advisor through the end of the year.
Scott Johnston, who brings more than 40 years of industry experience, will oversee the day-to-day operations of Cboe’s global trading platforms, market operations, infrastructure, and clearing teams. Heidi Fischer, who has over 25 years of industry experience, will be responsible for overseeing strategy, product development, and client engagement with an emphasis on delivering comprehensive on-exchange and off-exchange solutions for clients.
In addition to these appointments, Alex Dalley has been promoted to Senior Vice President and will oversee Cboe’s European equities business, pending regulatory approval. Natan Tiefenbrun, President of Europe and Global Head of Cash Equities, will be departing the company to pursue new opportunities. Jon Weinberg, Cboe’s Global Head of FX, will now oversee Cboe’s global FX and off-exchange trading business lines as Senior Vice President, Global Head of FX and Off-Exchange Trading.
To further drive its globalization strategy, Cboe is introducing a regional office leadership structure, with various executives overseeing different regions.
Cboe's CEO, Craig Donohue, expressed his delight in welcoming the new appointees, stating that they bring a proven track record of success and a wealth of industry experience to the company.
