Geron Corporation has reported its financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025, as well as recent business highlights. The company achieved $48 million and $184 million in net product revenue from Rytelo (imetelstat) in the fourth quarter of 2025 and the full year of 2025, respectively. This represents an increase in net product revenue compared to the previous period.
The company also reported total operating expenses of $255 million for the full year of 2025, within the previous guidance range. Looking ahead to 2026, Geron reiterated its expectations for Rytelo net product revenue and total operating expenses to be in the ranges of $220 million to $240 million, and $230 million to $240 million, respectively.
Geron ended 2025 with approximately $401 million in cash, cash equivalents, restricted cash, and marketable securities. This is a decrease from the $502.9 million reported at the end of 2024.
In terms of Rytelo's performance, Geron achieved a 9% growth in Rytelo demand in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the third quarter of 2025. The company also increased ordering accounts by 150 in the fourth quarter of 2025 to approximately 1,300.
The financial results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025 show that Geron reported a net loss of $31.1 million and $85.8 million, respectively. In comparison, for the same periods in 2024, the company reported a net loss of $25.4 million and $174.6 million. Additionally, total product revenue net for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025 was $48.0 million and $183.6 million, compared to $47.5 million and $76.5 million for the same periods in 2024.
Looking at costs and operating expenses, Geron reported total costs and operating expenses of $75.8 million and $254.7 million for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025, compared to $67.6 million and $250.7 million for the same periods in 2024. The increase in selling, general, and administrative expenses was primarily due to an increase in sales and marketing full-time employees and additional investment in marketing programs.
For fiscal year 2026, Geron expects Rytelo net product revenue to be in the range of $220 million to $240 million, and total operating expenses to be between $230 million and $240 million.
