Delta Air Lines has announced several leadership changes in its latest press release. Peter Carter is being promoted to President and will now be responsible for driving enterprise strategy, global policy and legal matters, Delta’s international portfolio, real estate, and sustainability and diversity teams. This change comes as John Laughter, Delta’s E.V.P., Chief of Operations and President of Delta TechOps, retires after more than three decades of service. Dan Janki will succeed Laughter as Delta’s Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all aspects of Delta’s safe and reliable operation.
Erik Snell, who joined Delta 20 years ago in finance, has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer and will now oversee Delta’s Finance organization, Fleet and Supply Chain teams, and refinery subsidiary Monroe Energy. Meanwhile, Ranjan Goswami will become Delta’s Chief Marketing and Product Officer, taking over from Alicia Tillman, who has decided to pursue broader leadership opportunities outside of Delta.
Alain Bellemare, E.V.P and President – International, is assuming additional responsibilities as the Chairman of Delta TechOps. With these changes, Carter, Janki, Snell, and Goswami will all report directly to CEO Ed Bastian. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved -1.28% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $70.43. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
