Cardinal Health appointed Patricia A. Hemingway Hall as chair of its board, effective immediately, replacing Gregory B. Kenny after his retirement.
Kenny had served on the board since 2007 and as chairman since 2018, giving him 19 years of board service and 8 years as chair. Hemingway Hall has been on Cardinal Health’s board since 2013, a span of 13 years, and has chaired the governance and sustainability committee for nearly seven years.
The leadership change comes as Cardinal Health said it will report third-quarter fiscal 2026 earnings on April 30. The company said it remains confident in its fiscal 2026 outlook.
Hemingway Hall brings prior operating experience as former president and chief executive officer of Health Care Service Corporation, the nation’s largest mutual health insurer. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -0.47% to a price of $212.45. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
