Cencora said it has signed a definitive agreement to buy Eyesouth Partners’ retina business for $1.1 billion, a move that would add the affiliated retina physicians to its Retina Consultants of America network.
The company said the deal is expected to be slightly accretive to adjusted diluted EPS, net of financing costs, in the first 12 months after closing. Cencora also said its fiscal 2026 guidance remains unchanged and does not assume the acquisition closes during that fiscal year.
The acquisition would expand RCA, which Cencora described as a leading management services organization for retina specialists. The company did not give a closing date, saying the transaction still needs customary approvals, including regulatory clearance.
Cencora said the Eyesouth Partners physicians would join RCA’s physician-centered practice management model, while continuing to work with Eyesouth Partners to support patient access across ophthalmology. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -0.14%, and are now trading at a price of $354.85. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
