Cass Commercial Bank has named Eric Giering president, replacing Dwight D. Erdbruegger, who will retire in September after leading the bank since July 2018.
Giering has been director of commercial banking since 2019. Cass said he has helped drive its commercial banking strategy, support growth, and strengthen client relationships while maintaining disciplined credit practices and risk management.
The leadership change follows a tenure in which Erdbruegger oversaw the bank’s market position, key business lines, and conservative credit profile. Giering brings more than 30 years of commercial banking experience, including senior roles at BMO Harris Bank, Commerce Bank, National City Bank, and First of America Bank.
Cass did not disclose financial terms tied to the appointment. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -0.07% to a price of $43.91. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
