BrightSpring Health Services completed the sale of ResCare Community Living to Sevita on March 31, 2026, closing a transaction first announced in January 2025.
The divested business had been part of BrightSpring’s community living operations, which the company said had supported individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across multiple states. BrightSpring said the sale was intended to let each company focus on its own strategic direction.
BrightSpring said its provider services division now consists of home health care, personal care and rehab therapy services. The company said those service lines continue to expand, supported by quality outcomes.
BrightSpring said it serves more than 450,000 customers, clients and patients daily across all 50 states through its pharmacy, home health care and rehabilitation businesses.
Sevita said the addition of ResCare Community Living expands its footprint. Before the deal, Sevita served 50,000 individuals in 40 states. Today the company's shares have moved -4.44% to a price of $42.83. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
