Cal-Maine Foods appointed Dudley D. Wooley to its board of directors, filling the seat left by the recent death of Jim Poole.
Wooley is chief executive officer of Ross & Yerger Insurance, where he has spent more than 30 years and has led the company as CEO since 2025. He was promoted to CEO/COO in 2013 and previously served as president and chief operating officer, directing growth and profitability initiatives and helping shape the firm’s perpetuation strategy.
He also serves as trustee of the Jones family trusts, overseeing assets for about 170 beneficiaries across public equities, private equity, real estate, oil and gas, and fixed income. Earlier in his career, he worked at Andersen Consulting and Marketing Research Institute.
Cal-Maine said Wooley’s background in risk management, capital allocation, and governance fits with its push toward a higher-value, more consistent earnings model and a more diversified platform with multiple growth drivers. Today the company's shares have moved 0.76% to a price of $78.70. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
