TopBuild Corp Promotes COO John Achille to President

TopBuild Corp. said April 2 that it promoted Chief Operating Officer John Achille to president and chief operating officer, putting him in charge of the day-to-day operations of both the installation services and specialty distribution businesses.

Achille will also oversee the supply chain organization and all growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions. He will continue to report to CEO Robert Buck.

The move elevates a longtime company executive who joined TopBuild in 2021 through the acquisition of American Building Systems. Since then, he has held roles across the company’s insulation and distribution businesses, including executive vice president of TruTeam. Before that, he served as vice president of coastal insulation at American Building Systems.

TopBuild said its installation services segment operates through more than 200 branches across the U.S., while its specialty distribution network spans more than 250 branches in the U.S. and Canada.

Buck said Achille has managed nearly all of the company’s businesses and helped structure the organization and leadership teams. Achille said the company is “well diversified” and generates “very strong free cash flow.” Today the company's shares have moved -4.54% to a price of $347.81.
