International Tower Hill Mines has added Andrew Cole to its board of directors, effective April 1, 2026.
Cole brings more than 35 years in metals and mining, with a background that includes work on refractory ore processing and senior roles at several major gold operations. He previously ran the Donlin Gold Project in Alaska, where he helped secure the project’s major permits, including the Final Record of Decision. Before that, he was general manager of Barrick Gold’s Goldstrike Mine, and later served as executive director of Barrick Gold’s U.S. operations.
The appointment comes as the company pushes its Livengood Gold Project through feasibility, permitting and early development following a recent financing. Board chair Marcelo Kim said Cole’s technical and operating experience will be used to help guide the project at what he called a pivotal time for the company.
Cole holds a bachelor’s degree in material sciences and engineering from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Nevada. He is a member of the Society of Mining Engineers and was named the group’s Miner of the Year in 2019. Since 2024, he has also served on the board of Perpetua Resources.
International Tower Hill Mines owns a 100% interest in the Livengood Gold Project, located 70 miles north of Fairbanks, Alaska, along the Elliott Highway. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -4.63%, and are now trading at a price of $2.06. For the full picture, make sure to review INTERNATIONAL TOWER HILL MINES's 8-K report.
