Tecnoglass cut its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA guidance to $225 million to $245 million after the U.S. imposed a 10% tariff on finished aluminum window imports.
The company said the new tariff creates an incremental $50 million net hit versus the midpoint of its prior guidance range. Tecnoglass said that impact will be partly offset by pricing actions beginning with orders in early May and by operational efficiencies including logistics improvements, increased automation and headcount reductions.
The company said first-quarter results were in line with expectations and that it is seeing continued strength in order activity and a record backlog, which it said gives it strong visibility for 2026.
Tecnoglass said the tariff update was not part of the guidance it issued on February 26, 2026. It also said the revised outlook now includes the possibility of elevated aluminum prices in the second half of 2026.
Management said the new pricing actions and efficiency steps should partially offset the tariff impact in 2026 and fully neutralize it in 2027. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 0.86% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $42.23. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
