Navitas Semiconductor Appoints Gregory M. Fischer as Independent Director

Navitas Semiconductor appointed Gregory M. Fischer as an independent director effective immediately, adding a semiconductor veteran with more than 40 years of industry experience to its board.

Fischer will stand for reelection in 2027 as a class III director and will serve on the compensation and executive steering committees.

The appointment comes as Navitas continues its push into high-power markets. Chairman Richard Hendrix said the company has made “great strides over the last year,” while Fischer said he is joining at a time of “rapid growth” as Navitas scales its GaN and high-voltage SiC technologies.

Fischer’s background includes senior vice president and general manager at Broadcom, along with leadership roles at Conexant Systems, Rockwell International and Rockwell Collins Avionics. He is currently an independent director at Semtech and has served as an independent advisor to Gerson Lehrman Group and AlphaSights since December 2021. He also serves on the advisory board of Syntiant.

Navitas said it has more than 300 patents issued or pending and described itself as the world’s first semiconductor company to be carbonneutral-certified. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -4.85%, and are now trading at a price of $9.02. For the full picture, make sure to review Navitas Semiconductor Corp's 8-K report.
