Cable One recently released its 10-Q report. Cable One, Inc. provides data, video and voice services to residential and business customers across the United States, with offerings that include broadband internet, Wi-Fi enhancement, technology support, network security, traditional phone service, fiber-based ethernet products and IPTV video through Sparklight TV. The company was incorporated in 1980 and is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.
In the first quarter of 2026, Cable One said it served about 1.0 million residential and business customers across roughly 2.8 million passings in 24 Western, Midwestern and Southern states. About 76% of customers were concentrated in seven states: Arizona, Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. Of the customer base, about 986,000 subscribed to data, 82,000 to video and 91,000 to voice.
Cable One generated 60.5% of its first-quarter revenue from residential data, 15.9% from business data and 11.6% from residential video. The company said it is focusing on higher-margin data businesses while video and voice continue to shrink under competitive pressure and shifting consumer habits.
For the three months ended March 31, 2026, revenue fell 7.3% to $352.957 million from $380.601 million a year earlier. Total costs and expenses declined 6.5% to $266.351 million, and income from operations dropped 9.5% to $86.606 million.
Net income, however, jumped to $35.774 million from $2.607 million in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted EBITDA fell 9.6% to $183.348 million from $202.712 million, while capital expenditures declined 3.8% to $68.424 million from $71.130 million.
Operating cash flow increased 1.6% to $118.220 million. Investing cash outflows narrowed to $23.905 million from $56.556 million, while financing cash outflows widened to $81.483 million from $64.319 million.
Subscriber counts continued to contract. Residential data PSUs fell to 887,000 from 945,000, residential video PSUs dropped to 78,000 from 101,300, and residential voice PSUs declined to 53,600 from 64,600. Total residential PSUs fell 8.3% to 1.019 million.
Business data PSUs slipped to 98,500 from 99,800, business video PSUs fell to 4,400 from 6,400, and business voice PSUs edged down to 37,400 from 38,000. Total business services PSUs declined 2.7% to 140,300.
