Agilent Technologies named Michael Buckner as chief legal officer, effective May 4, 2026.
Buckner arrives from Danaher, where he was vice president, deputy general counsel and chief M&A counsel. In that role, he led legal strategy across mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, intellectual property transactions and debt securities, and oversaw a global team. His work included the acquisition of Abcam and the Veralto spin-off.
Before Danaher, Buckner spent 16 years at General Electric, most recently as vice president and chief counsel for mergers and acquisitions, serving as GE’s lead global M&A lawyer. Earlier in his career, he held legal roles at Capital One Financial and in private practice.
