Trex Company Appoints Zachary C. Lauer as COO

Trex Company appointed Zachary C. Lauer as senior vice president and chief operations officer, expanding the role he had held as senior vice president of supply chain and manufacturing.

Lauer has spent 10 years at Trex and more than two decades in operations, supply chain and manufacturing leadership. Before the promotion, he was senior vice president, supply chain and manufacturing; before that, he served as group vice president, supply chain, and previously held vice president and senior director roles at the company.

In his new position, Lauer will oversee manufacturing, supply chain, engineering and R&D. Trex said the move is intended to support operational excellence and continued growth.

The company said Lauer’s background includes senior supply chain, manufacturing and engineering roles at Newell-Rubbermaid and Federal-Mogul. He holds an MBA from Villanova University and a BS in aerospace engineering from the United States Military Academy.

Trex did not announce any changes to sales, earnings, production volumes, margins or other operating metrics in the release.
