McCormick & Company appointed Cindy Hoots to its board of directors, effective June 1, 2026, expanding the board to 12 directors, 11 of them independent.
Hoots most recently served as chief digital officer and CIO at AstraZeneca. Before that, she was global vice president of technology at Unilever and held leadership roles at BAT, SABMiller, ITT and Mars. She also sits on the board of Zoom Communications and advises startups.
McCormick said the appointment is part of an ongoing board refreshment process. The company highlighted Hoots’ background in digital transformation, cybersecurity, AI, enterprise modernization and consumer-led innovation as the reason for the move.
The company said it has about $7 billion in annual sales and operates in 150 countries and territories. Its portfolio includes McCormick, French’s, Frank’s RedHot, OLD BAY, Lawry’s, Zatarain’s, Ducros, Vahiné, Cholula, Schwartz, Kamis, DaQiao, Club House, Aeroplane, Gourmet Garden, FONA and Giotti.
