Western Digital appoints Manuvir Das to Board

Western Digital appointed Manuvir Das to its board of directors, expanding the board to nine members, eight of them external and independent.

Das joined the board effective May 26, 2026. He comes to Western Digital after senior leadership roles at NVIDIA, Dell EMC and Microsoft, and is currently an operating partner in Stonepeak Partners’ digital infrastructure group, a role he has held since April 2025.

At NVIDIA, Das was head of enterprise computing, where he led the company’s enterprise AI strategy and launched the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software suite. Before that, he ran Dell EMC’s unstructured data storage business, overseeing the Isilon NAS and ECS object platforms. Earlier, he spent 14 years at Microsoft and was an original engineering leader behind Microsoft Azure.

Western Digital said the appointment adds experience in enterprise AI, data infrastructure and cloud computing to the board as the company continues to focus on storage infrastructure for AI-driven workloads. Today the company's shares have moved 1.02% to a price of $530.01. For the full picture, make sure to review WESTERN DIGITAL CORP's 8-K report.
