CoStar Group said it will acquire Zonda for $800 million in cash, adding a business that serves more than 3,000 customers across the homebuilding ecosystem and brings in newhomesource.com and Livabl.
Zonda’s revenue is described as mostly subscription-based, with net customer retention of 104%. The company’s database covers new home communities, land development activity, construction status, home sales, and builder operations at the lot level.
The deal expands CoStar’s reach into a market the company says is nearly $1 trillion in annual new residential construction value in the U.S. CoStar said the acquisition should be accretive to adjusted EPS in the first full year of ownership and is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
CoStar also said the transaction pairs Zonda’s visualization and digital merchandising tools with Matterport’s spatial technology, and that the combination should create cross-sell opportunities across its commercial, residential, multifamily, lending, and analytics businesses. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -0.56%, and are now trading at a price of $32.14. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
