Gladstone Investment Corporation has expanded its board from seven to eight directors with the election of George “Chip” Stelljes, III to the 2028 class, effective June 1, 2026.
Stelljes was also named to three board committees: compensation, ethics, nominating and corporate governance, and valuation.
The appointment gives the company a director with more than 25 years of experience in investment analysis, management and advisory work. Stelljes previously spent 12 years, from 2001 to 2013, in senior roles across the Gladstone companies, including chief investment officer, president and director positions at Gladstone Capital Corporation, Gladstone Investment Corporation, Gladstone Commercial Corporation and Gladstone Management Corporation.
Before that, he spent 23 years at private equity and venture capital firms including Patriot Capital, Camden Partners, Columbia Capital and Allied Capital.
He is currently managing partner of St. John’s Capital, LLC. He also serves as chairman of Equalize Community Development Fund and as an independent director of Oxford Square Capital Corporation.
