Gladstone Investment Corporation expanded its board from seven to eight directors with the election of George “Chip” Stelljes, III to the 2028 class, effective June 1, 2026.
Stelljes was also named to three board committees: compensation, ethics, nominating and corporate governance, and valuation.
The appointment adds a director with more than 25 years of experience in investment analysis, management and advisory work. From 2001 to 2013, Stelljes held senior roles across Gladstone companies, including chief investment officer, president and director of Gladstone Capital Corporation, Gladstone Investment Corporation, Gladstone Commercial Corporation and Gladstone Management Corporation.
He now serves as managing partner of St. John’s Capital, LLC, a vehicle used for private equity investments. He also chairs Equalize Community Development Fund and serves as an independent director of Oxford Square Capital Corporation.
The company said the board expansion and appointment were made as part of strengthening governance and adding private equity investment experience to the board.
