Champion Homes reshuffled key leadership roles as it prepares for the June 26 retirement of Executive Vice President, Operations Joseph Kimmell, who will stay on as a consultant through the end of August.
The company appointed three executives to newly defined roles:
- Wade Lyall was named chief sales officer.
- John Kastanek was named chief customer experience officer.
- Andrew Houser was named senior vice president, manufacturing.
The changes affect an organization that spans more than 9,300 employees and 129 retail and manufacturing locations. Champion also said it operates 46 manufacturing facilities in the United States and western Canada and 84 retail locations across the U.S.
Lyall has more than 25 years in the industry and has held multiple leadership posts at Champion, including general manager at two Georgia plants from 2002 to 2005, regional vice president of sales and marketing from 2005 to 2012, regional vice president of the South Region beginning in 2012, and vice president of sales and business development beginning in 2015.
Kastanek, who currently serves as vice president of marketing and customer operations, has more than 25 years of leadership experience and has led enterprise marketing, digital engagement, customer operations, go-to-market strategy and sales enablement at Champion. Before joining the company, he spent 17 years at Polaris Industries in senior roles across service engineering, product management, global service operations and connected strategy.
Houser, currently president of retail operations, oversees retail operations and the manufacturing facilities that make up Regional Builders Group. He joined Champion through the Regional Homes acquisition, which closed in October 2023, and has been involved in initiatives in Texas.
Champion said the appointments are part of its succession planning and leadership alignment as it looks to support its sales, customer experience and manufacturing operations. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -1.2%, and are now trading at a price of $71.91. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
