Haemonetics Corp Reduces Reportable Segments

Haemonetics is changing the way it reports its business, cutting its reportable segments from three to two starting with the first quarter of fiscal 2027, which began March 29, 2026.

Under the new structure, the company’s plasma and blood center segments will be combined into a single segment called apheresis. The hospital segment will be renamed medsurg.

The company said the new setup is intended to better match how it manages the business and allocates resources. It also said the updated names are meant to more clearly reflect the businesses, technologies and markets served.

Haemonetics said it will continue to provide supplemental revenue disclosure. In the new format, the apheresis segment will include disclosure for plasma and other revenue, while medsurg will continue to include blood management technologies and interventional technologies.

To make the change easier to track, the company has recast quarterly historical revenue for fiscal 2024, 2025 and 2026, and also recast its previously issued fiscal 2027 revenue guidance to fit the new segment structure.

The company said the new reporting will begin with first-quarter fiscal 2027 results. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 1.65% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $71.005. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
