Satellogic has added retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General Michael E. Williamson to its board of directors as an independent Class III director, effective immediately.
Williamson brings more than 30 years of experience in defense acquisition, technology integration and global business development. His career includes senior acquisition and management roles in the U.S. Army, followed by executive positions at Lockheed Martin, where he led program performance, sensors and global sustainment, tactical and strike missiles, and later global business development and strategy.
The appointment comes as Satellogic continues to build out its earth observation business for government and commercial customers. The company said Williamson’s background spans modernization and procurement programs for the U.S. Army, as well as international operations in more than 50 countries during his time at Lockheed Martin.
Williamson’s board role adds another defense and aerospace veteran to the company’s leadership as it pushes further into persistent monitoring programs and allied government work. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -6.26%, and are now trading at a price of $7.63. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
