M&T Bank Corporation said Tuesday it elected Jerry Jacobs Jr., chief executive officer of Delaware North, to its board of directors, effective June 16, 2026.
Jacobs also joined the board of M&T Bank, the company’s principal banking subsidiary.
Jacobs has led Delaware North since 2015, after joining the company in 1986 and holding a series of senior leadership roles, including head of its Sportservice division. He shares the chief executive officer title with his brothers, Lou and Charlie.
M&T Chairman and Chief Executive Officer René Jones said Jacobs brings “a strong track record of leadership and operational execution” and “deep ties to western New York.”
Jacobs is chair of the UB Council, a member of the U.S. Travel Association CEO Roundtable and a board member of The Corps Network. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
