Cincinnati Financial Corp Expands Board with Former U.S. Navy Chief

Cincinnati Financial Corp. expanded its board to 15 directors with the immediate appointment of Lisa M. Franchetti as an independent director and member of the audit committee.

Franchetti retired from the U.S. Navy in 2025 after nearly 40 years of service. She most recently served as the 33rd chief of naval operations from November 2023 to February 2025, leading a force of more than 600,000 personnel. Before that, she was vice chief of naval operations and director for strategy, plans and policy on the Joint Staff.

Her prior commands included the destroyer USS Ross, Destroyer Squadron 21, two carrier strike groups, U.S. Naval Forces Korea and the U.S. Sixth Fleet.

After leaving the Navy, she founded Franchetti Strategic Solutions LLC, a consulting firm focused on national security advising, global strategic planning and operational transformation. She was a 2026 fellow at the University of Chicago and is set to be a distinguished practitioner at Northwestern University in 2027.

Cincinnati Financial CEO Stephen M. Spray said Franchetti’s experience in strategic planning and leadership at the federal level would add perspective to board discussions as the company works to enhance shareholder value. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 2.92% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $175.165.
