NEWS CORP (NWSA) Buyback Activity Surges

News Corp reported that it had bought back 8,674,050 shares in the latest daily update, paying US$217.84 million for those shares. That compares with 86,681 shares repurchased the previous day for US$2.16 million, showing a sharp step-up in activity.

The company said the highest price paid in the program was US$27.60, reached on 10 June 2026, while the lowest price paid was US$22.20 on 9 February 2026. In the prior-day update, the highest and lowest prices were US$25.36 and US$24.61, respectively.

News Corp said the repurchases are part of its 2025 program, under which it can buy back up to US$1 billion of its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock. To date, it has spent about US$339.37 million under that program. The company said no ASX-listed CDIs will be repurchased. Today the company's shares have moved 3.99% to a price of $25.82.
