Kyndryl Appoints New CFO and General Counsel

Kyndryl said Ellen Johnson will become chief financial officer on Aug. 6, replacing interim CFO Harsh Chugh, while Andrew Bonzani has been named general counsel and secretary effective immediately.

Johnson is coming from Interpublic Group, where she served as executive vice president and CFO from 2020 to 2025. She joined IPG in 2000 and previously held roles including CFO of IPG Mediabrands, senior vice president of finance and treasurer, senior vice president and treasurer, and assistant treasurer, international. At Kyndryl, Chugh will stay in place through Aug. 5, when the company plans to file its first-quarter 2027 earnings report and Form 10-Q, and then remain to help with the transition.

Bonzani joins after serving as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at IPG since 2012 and later as executive vice president and general counsel from 2021 to 2025. Before that, he spent 18 years in IBM’s legal department, most recently as vice president, assistant general counsel and secretary.

Kyndryl said the appointments follow a search for leaders with public-company experience. The company did not disclose financial terms tied to either hire. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 0.12% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $12.265. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
