SS Innovations Launches Cardiac Robotic Surgery Training School

SS Innovations’ subsidiary SSICRS graduated its first cardiac robotic surgery training class, with 33 participants from seven countries completing the inaugural course at the company’s Gurugram, India headquarters.

The opening class was led by 16 international faculty members and included training in totally endoscopic coronary artery bypasses, left internal mammary artery bypasses, atrial septal defects, and mitral valve surgery. The program combined live surgical demonstrations, hands-on robotic training, virtual video sessions, scientific discussions, and knowledge exchange.

SSICRS said its broader training program will run as a series of five-day courses spanning cardiac, urologic, gynecologic, thoracic, colorectal, gastrointestinal, and general surgery. The facility includes lecture halls, training labs, tele-proctoring, engineering-integrated learning, and online modules to supplement in-person instruction.

The company said the new training center is designed to expand education around its SSI Mantra surgical robotic system. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -3.48% to a price of $3.60. For the full picture, make sure to review SS Innovations International's 8-K report.
