Evolus Strikes Exclusive Deal for Profhilo Distribution in the U.S.

Evolus said it has struck an exclusive licensing and distribution deal with IBSA to bring Profhilo to the U.S., adding a skin-quality injectable to its portfolio and moving into a category it described as one of the fastest growing in aesthetics.

Profhilo has been used in more than 4.8 million treatments worldwide since its 2015 launch and is available in more than 70 countries. Evolus said the product is already the market leader in Europe for skin quality injectables.

Under the agreement, Evolus will handle development work needed for U.S. regulatory approval and will commercialize the product after approval. The company said there are no upfront payments tied to the deal.

Evolus said the economics are based on a transfer-price model intended to support gross margins in line with its long-term financial framework. It also said the agreement is not expected to change its previously communicated 2026 revenue, operating expense, or operating profit outlook, nor its 2028 revenue or profitability targets.

The company said Profhilo expands its injectable lineup beyond neurotoxins and dermal fillers into skin quality, a segment it described as underpenetrated in the U.S. and more established in Europe. Profhilo is designed to improve hydration, elasticity, and smoothness rather than add volume or contour. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares 0.29% to a price of $6.96. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
