Enovix has named Dr. Michael Vyvoda as chief operating officer, effective July 29, 2026, bringing in a former Apple operations leader as the company pushes into sustained high-volume manufacturing.
The appointment consolidates Enovix’s manufacturing, supply chain and operations engineering teams under one leader. Vyvoda will oversee global operations across the company’s Malaysia and Korea manufacturing facilities, with R&D support from India. Reporting to him will be senior vice president Kihong Park, who leads global manufacturing operations; Ed Casey, who leads advanced manufacturing engineering; and James Wilcox, vice president of strategic sourcing.
The move comes after a quarter in which Enovix said revenue rose 49% year over year to $7.6 million, topping the high end of guidance. The company also posted its sixth straight quarter of positive gross profit and said its Korea-manufactured product pipeline had grown to more than $130 million.
Operationally, Enovix said production of its silicon-anode battery for smart eyewear is underway after its first commercial production order of about 50,000 units. Smartphone qualification is still advancing, and the company recently launched its MX-1 platform for the drone and defense markets.
Vyvoda joins from Magrathea Metals, where he was chief operating officer, and previously served as COO at Aircapture. Before that, he spent more than five years at Apple as director of product operations for audio products, where he helped scale AirPods manufacturing from new product introduction to high-volume production across multiple Asian sites.
Enovix said the appointment completes the buildup of its operating leadership team, following the earlier additions of Ed Casey and Sanghyuck Park in advanced manufacturing engineering. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares 3.02% to a price of $5.28. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
