SS Innovations International has named Sarah M. Romano as chief financial officer, effective Aug. 3, 2026, as the company prepares for its next phase of expansion.
Romano brings more than 20 years of finance experience in medtech and life sciences. At Vicarious Surgical, she led efforts to reduce cash burn and strengthen the balance sheet. Before that, she served as CFO of Entero Therapeutics and Kiora Pharmaceuticals, where she handled capital raising, strategic transactions, SEC reporting and investor relations.
Across her career, Romano has raised more than $100 million through public and private financings. She is also a former PricewaterhouseCoopers auditor and a licensed CPA in Massachusetts.
For SS Innovations, the hire comes as the company is pushing global expansion and pursuing U.S. FDA approval for its SSI Mantra surgical robotic system. The company describes the platform as a cost-effective robotic surgery system, alongside its SSI Mudra surgical instruments, which are used across procedures including cardiac surgery. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 3.02%, and are now trading at a price of $3.75. For the full picture, make sure to review SS Innovations International's 8-K report.
