Accel Entertainment named Stan Guidroz chief operating officer, elevating the longtime head of its Louisiana subsidiary into a broader companywide role effective July 14, 2026.
Guidroz has led Toucan Gaming since 2021, a period in which the company said he built a growing Louisiana route and oversaw a series of acquisitions, including Rice Palace Truck Stop Casino. His Louisiana background spans more than two decades. At Jacobs Entertainment, he ran the company’s Louisiana operations and grew Cash Magic truck stop casinos to 27 locations. Earlier, he founded a convenience store company that expanded to 19 stores before being sold to Conco, Inc.
The move shifts day-to-day operations across Accel’s markets to Guidroz. It also changes the structure at the top of the company: Mark Phelan will drop the COO title now and remain president before becoming chief executive officer in August 2026.
The leadership changes come as Accel reports a sizable operating footprint. The company says it supports more than 28,000 electronic gaming terminals across over 4,500 third-party local and regional establishments and 20 self-operated gaming locations in ten states. It also operates Fairmount Park * Casino & Racing, which includes live racing, electronic gaming machines, live table games, food and beverage amenities, and pari-mutuel betting.
Accel also said Chief Compliance Officer Derek Harmer will leave the role on March 31, 2027 and join the company’s gaming Compliance Committee on April 1, 2027. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved -0.96% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $12.38. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
