Howard Hughes Holdings Announces Leadership Change at Vantage Group Holdings

Howard Hughes Holdings announced a leadership change at Vantage Group Holdings, naming Marc Grandisson executive chairman effective immediately and designating David Gansberg to become CEO once his non-competition obligations expire by June 2027.

Greg Hendrick, who co-founded Vantage in 2020 and has served as CEO since then, will remain in the role until Gansberg takes over. Grandisson will work with Hendrick and the Vantage leadership team during the transition.

Grandisson spent 17 years at Arch Capital Group, joining in 2001 and serving as CEO from March 2018 until his retirement in 2024. During that period, Arch generated a total shareholder return of 298%, or 23.2% a year. Gansberg also joined Arch in 2001 and led Arch Mortgage Group as CEO from 2019 to 2024 before becoming president of Arch Capital Group, with responsibility for its global insurance group.

The company said the move is intended to position Vantage for larger-scale growth as a specialty insurance and reinsurance business. Vantage was established in late 2020 and is now a subsidiary of Howard Hughes Holdings. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -2.4%, and are now trading at a price of $70.32.
