Deluxe closed its acquisition of Celero Commerce on July 31, adding more than 55,000 merchant relationships and 130 bank partners to its base and pushing the company toward a payments platform expected to process more than $70 billion of annual gross transaction volume.
The deal, first announced June 18, is expected to be accretive to adjusted EPS in the first full year after closing. Deluxe said it expects more than $15 million in cost synergies from the combination.
With Celero added, Deluxe said its merchant services business will expand further and the company will move toward a top-10 position among non-bank merchant acquirers, based on Nilson reporting.
Deluxe said the combined platform will serve customers through a larger processing network while maintaining service continuity during integration. The company plans to update full-year 2026 guidance when it reports second-quarter results on Aug. 5, and it intends to hold an investor day in December.
Before the acquisition, Deluxe said it processed more than $2 trillion in annual payment volume across its businesses. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -0.42% to a price of $25.87. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
