Sturm, Ruger & Co Inc Q2 2026 Results – Net Sales Decline to $126.4M

Sturm, Ruger reported second-quarter 2026 results with net sales of $126.4 million, down from $132.7 million in the first quarter of 2026 and lower than the $138.9 million reported in the second quarter of 2025.

Net income for the quarter was $10.3 million, or $0.62 per diluted share, compared with $11.8 million, or $0.71 per diluted share, in the prior quarter and $14.7 million, or $0.86 per diluted share, a year earlier.

Gross profit was $30.1 million, versus $32.0 million in the first quarter and $36.3 million in the year-ago period. Gross margin came in at 23.8%, compared with 24.1% in the first quarter and 26.1% in the second quarter of 2025.

Adjusted net income was $10.6 million, or $0.64 per diluted share, down from $12.0 million, or $0.72 per diluted share, in the first quarter and $15.0 million, or $0.88 per diluted share, in the same quarter last year.

Cash and short-term investments ended the quarter at $87.5 million, down from $92.4 million at March 29, 2026. Total debt remained at zero.

The company also reported inventories of $89.2 million, up from $84.7 million at the end of the first quarter, while accounts receivable rose to $18.7 million from $16.9 million.

Operating cash flow was $8.1 million in the quarter, compared with $9.4 million in the prior quarter and $15.3 million in the second quarter of 2025.

For the first six months of 2026, net sales totaled $259.1 million, compared with $267.4 million in the first half of 2025. Net income for the period was $22.1 million, versus $28.4 million a year earlier.
