NEWS CORP (NWSA) Repurchases $399M in Stock

News Corporation said it had bought back 66,163 shares on the previous day for US$1.83 million, at a highest price of US$27.80 and a lowest price of US$27.43.

That followed a much larger round of repurchases before the previous day, when the company bought back 10,156,835 shares for US$258.29 million. In total, the company said it has spent about US$399.35 million under its 2025 repurchase program.

The company’s buy-back covers Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock, not ASX-listed CDIs. The program authorizes repurchases of up to US$1 billion in stock.

News Corp listed 359,831,113 shares on issue in the class subject to the buy-back. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 1.49%, and are now trading at a price of $27.97. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
