Robert Half's Protiviti Subsidiary to Get New CEO in 2027

Robert Half said its consulting subsidiary Protiviti will change leadership on Jan. 1, 2027, with Chief Operating Officer Cory Gunderson taking over as president and chief executive officer and current CEO Joe Tarantino moving to senior managing director.

Tarantino has been with Protiviti since its founding 24 years ago and has spent nearly two decades as president and CEO. Under his tenure, the firm expanded its service offerings, geographic reach and market position, and built joint go-to-market strategies with Robert Half’s talent solutions business.

Gunderson has also been with Protiviti since its founding and has held multiple leadership roles across the company. Robert Half said he will become an executive officer of the parent company when his new role takes effect.

The transition comes after a long run of growth for Protiviti, which now operates through more than 90 offices in over 25 countries. The firm said it has served more than 80% of Fortune 100 companies and nearly 80% of Fortune 500 companies, and it is entering this leadership change after being named to Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the 11th consecutive year. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 2.65% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $38.80. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
