Teradata appointed Bernd Leukert to its board of directors, effective Aug. 1, 2026, and said he will serve as a Class II director through the 2027 annual meeting.
The board will expand from nine to 10 directors, with Class II directors increasing from three to four. Leukert will also join the board’s Nominating and Governance Committee.
Leukert brings more than 30 years of experience in software engineering, digital transformation, cloud, AI, data and IT services. He most recently led Deutsche Bank’s global technology, data and innovation initiatives, after spending several decades at SAP, where he served on the Executive Board with global responsibility for SAP’s digital business services.
Teradata said the appointment is part of its board refreshment plan. Chairman Mike Gianoni said the company wanted a director with experience in data, AI transformation and enterprise software, while Leukert said Teradata’s new Autonomous Knowledge Platform gives it “tremendous runway” to grow its leadership position. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 2.39%, and are now trading at a price of $31.73. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
