Butterfly Network said Dr. Erica Schwartz, who has served on its board since 2021, stepped down effective August 5 after being confirmed as director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The company said her board departure comes in advance of her new role, and that it filed additional transition details in a Form 8-K.
Joseph DeVivo, Butterfly’s president, CEO and chairman, said Schwartz had been a “valued member” of the board and praised her clinical background and public service.
